I still like getting into the weeds. These days that can mean routing and firewalls in the morning, then voice apps, LLM tools, and deployment work at night. AI helps me move faster, but I still own what ships.
Current work
I run these myself, from the first ugly sketch through production. Each one started with something I wanted to make less frustrating.
Build the quote while you’re still looking at the job.
Talk through the work and ProprQuote turns it into a clean scope, line items, and something you can send the customer. I’m building the whole stack.
The last thing a contractor wants after a full day is another hour at a desk.
Describe the diagram. Fix it by hand. Let an agent use it too.
Diagraff turns plain English into editable Mermaid diagrams. The web app and MCP server use the same engine, so I’m not maintaining two different versions of the truth.

A voice tarot companion that knows which parts should not be left to the model.
The conversation can be loose. The card draw, session state, and source lookup are code. I don’t let the model quietly invent the parts that should be checkable.

Outside the rack
I’m also a commercial pilot, licensed skydiver, and rescue-level scuba diver. Those are very different worlds, but all three teach you to prepare, know your limits, and stay useful when the plan changes.
